Violent Design Culture (VDC)

Effective Date: November 14th 2025

This Shipping Policy forms part of the Terms of Service (“ToS”) and applies to all orders placed on the Violent Design Culture (“VDC”, “we”, “us”, “our”) online store.
By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

 

1. Markets We Ship To

VDC ships to the following markets:

1.1 The Netherlands (Home Market)

Our primary market, optimized for the fastest delivery times and strategic pricing.

1.2 EU/EEA + Switzerland

Includes all EU member states, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland.

1.3 International Markets

Countries outside the EU chosen for their reliability:

  • United States
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Japan
  • South Korea
  • Singapore
  • Hong Kong

These markets are fully supported with tracked shipping and reliable delivery partners.

VDC does not ship to countries outside these three market groups. Read section 12 for more information.

 

2. Shipping Carriers

We work with multiple carriers depending on destination, product size, and current rates. These may include:

  • PostNL
  • DHL
  • DPD
  • UPS
  • FedEx
  • GLS

Carriers may change at any time based on cost efficiency or availability.
All orders ship with tracking, integrated via Track123.

 

3. Processing Times

3.1 In-Stock Items

  • Orders placed before 14:00 (2PM) CETShipped the same day
  • Orders placed after 14:00 CETShipped the next business day

3.2 Out-of-Stock / Sourced Items

Some items may require additional processing time depending on supplier availability.
Processing time varies by product and will be communicated on the product page when applicable.

 

4. Estimated Delivery Times

All delivery estimates are non-binding and depend on the carrier’s conditions.

4.1 Netherlands

  • In-stock items: Next business day (if ordered before 14:00)

4.2 EU/EEA + Switzerland

  • In-stock items: 3–7 business days

4.3 High-Value International Markets

  • In-stock items: 7–21 business days

Delays caused by customs, strikes, peak seasons, or operational disruptions are outside our control.

 

5. Shipping Costs

VDC uses zone-based pricing with weight-based rules.

5.1 Netherlands

We apply strategic pricing to maximize conversion:

Briefpost (Not Tracked)

  • 0–20g → €1.95
  • 20–50g → €2.95

Brievenbuspakje (Tracked)

  • €4.95

Pakket – Tracked

  • Standard: €6.95
  • Large (≤23kg): €14.95

Free Shipping (Netherlands)

  • Orders ≥ €75

 

5.2 EU/EEA + Switzerland

  • Rates vary by weight and destination.
  • Shopify automatically recommends the best available carrier rates.

Free Shipping (EU)

  • Orders ≥ €150

 

5.3 International Markets

  • Weight-based international pricing applied.
  • Carriers vary by country.

Free Shipping (International, Including some countries from zone 2 (Section 5.2) such as Switzerland)

  • Orders ≥ €175

 

6. Tracking & Order Updates

All orders receive a tracking number via email once shipped.
Tracking is processed through:

  • Carrier tracking pages
  • Customer dashboard
  • Track123 integrated tracking page

If tracking shows delivered but you did not receive the package, please contact the carrier first, then contact us.

 

7. Delivery Issues & Liability

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:

7.1 Incorrect Addresses

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.
VDC is not liable for packages lost due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.

7.2 Lost or Delayed Packages

Once a package is accepted by the carrier, VDC is not liable for:

  • Delays
  • Carrier errors
  • Lost packages
  • Customs inspections

However, we will always assist with filing a claim or investigation.

7.3 Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

For orders outside the EU:

  • The customer is fully responsible for taxes, duties, and customs fees.
  • Refusal to pay customs may result in the package being destroyed or returned at your expense.

 

8. Split Shipments

Orders containing multiple items may be shipped separately depending on:

  • Item size
  • Inventory availability
  • Warehouse location

We strive to minimize split shipments but cannot guarantee combined shipping for all orders.

 

9. Restricted Items

Some items (such as knives, defense tools, tactical equipment) may be restricted in certain countries.

  • Customers must ensure the legality of importing such items.
  • VDC is not responsible for seizure by customs due to local laws.
  • Age-restricted items (18+) require the customer to truthfully confirm their age during checkout.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Shipping Policy at any time.
Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

 

12. Countries Not Covered by Standard Shipping

12.1 Outside-Market Orders

Customers located in countries not included in our three shipping markets may request a custom order.
VDC will review each request on a case-by-case basis and may accept or decline at our sole discretion.

12.2 How to Request an Order

Customers must email info@violentdesignculture.com with the following information:

  • Product name(s) or SKU(s)
  • Quantity per item
  • Size(s) and color(s), if applicable
  • Full shipping address, including country and postal code
  • Any additional information relevant to the order

Following the request, VDC will:

  1. Determine whether shipping to the destination is possible
  2. Calculate shipping costs based on weight, size, and carrier rates
  3. Provide a price proposal including shipping, duties estimations (if possible), and product pricing

Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
VDC retains full authority to decline any external-market order for legal, logistical, or cost-related reasons. 

12.3 Custom Orders Outside Standard Markets

Customers located outside the Netherlands, EU/EEA, Switzerland, and High-Value International Markets may request special/custom orders via email (see Section 12.2).

Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable
All such custom or special orders are not eligible for returns or refunds, except in cases where the product arrives damaged or defective upon delivery and the damage was not caused by the customer’s actions, misuse, or incorrect handling.

Customer Responsibility
Customers must provide accurate information for the order, including product, quantity, colors, sizes (if applicable), and shipping address. Violent Design Culture is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer.

Legal Compliance
This exclusion is consistent with Dutch and EU consumer law regarding custom orders.
